Vaccine systems
We are currently analyzing the actions of viruses on our system and publicizing the actions and infection methods of viruses. From the collected data we are working on the automatic creation of software that can quickly erase a virus from the system.
Aim
- Management of Windows viruses
- Distribution of fast-acting virus-erasing software
- Prevention of virus infection through dissemination of virus data
Functions
In order to realize the above targets the following functions have been identified as necessary:
- Ability to erase a virus from an infected terminal
- Save an executable file coming from an external network source
- Make a signature file from the executable file
- Enable the running of the suspect file and analysis of its actions
- Keep the data obtained from analysis in a database
- Make a judgment of the potential danger of the file from the analyzed data
- Make a definition file for virus-erasing software
- Display information about the virus using the database data
Process
The following system includes all the above-mentioned functions and follows the process outlined below:
- A mail with attached executable file is received from outside network
- Signature is created from the attached executable file and added to the database
- Executable file is sent to device for analysis and its functions analyzed
- Analysis results are added to the database
- Judgment is made on the danger of the file from the results
- If the file is deemed to be a danger then a definition file is created for the elimination software
- If information from analysis is insufficient, file is analyzed again
- Information about the virus from the database is displayed on the web
- User downloads virus elimination software and definition file and erases the virus
This process allows the creation of a virus database and the wider dissemination of virus information on the web. Using the database information, elimination software and definition file, it is possible to eliminate the virus without intervention from the user.
