Admissions
Application procedures for this research laboratory
This page is designed to provide a simple guide to the application procedures for this laboratory for not only Iwate University undergraduates, but also students from other universities, foreign students and those in the workforce. In order to enter a masters course the following hurdles must be overcome:
- How to pass the masters course entrance exam.
- How much money is required for graduate course fees and living expenses.
- What type of work to look for upon completion of the graduate degree.
- How to get a doctor’s thesis on time.
Rather than worry about these problems on your own why not first ask the advice of either Professor Koi or Research Assistant Mr. Nakaya.
- Professor Koi:Phone 019-629-2838, E-mail:koui@cis.iwate-u.ac.jp
- Assistant Mr. Nakaya:Phone 019-621-6893, E-mail:nakaya@cis.iwate-u.ac.jp
In this laboratory rather than students who do well at school, we are looking for students who have a genuine desire to study about computer viruses, remote control protocols and other network issues. We are also confident that through our university venture company and our relationships with a wide range of companies we can help you achieve both part-time and full time work. There are foreign students who are able to support both their school fees and living expenses through part time jobs.
Masters degree
There are courses starting in both April and October. There is also an option to graduate early and so we encourage you to do your best to succeed. Students who didn’t study information science at the undergraduate level can also apply. We can provide information about methods of study at the graduate level within the laboratory. We are also running a trial study program.
